Michael Borodkin, MD
Dr. Michael J. Borodkin is a summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed a residency in ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Borodkin is a LASIK and cornea specialist who did a fellowship with one of the pioneers of laser vision correction, Dr. Marguerite McDonald. He is also one of the few ophthalmologists who is fellowship trained in laser vision correction procedures. Dr. Borodkin performs small incision, no stitch cataract surgery, including LASER ASSISTED CATARACT SURGERY LACS. He also is a specialist in the use of toric and multifocal intraocular lenses which allow patients to see clearly at distance and near without glasses following cataract surgery.
Dr. Borodkin is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has been in practice for over 20 years. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a member of the Medical Society of the State of New York, the Nassau County Medical Society and the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery.
